Let’s have a chat about what it means to be a woman.
You get every promotion at work. You are intelligent. You are driven. You get yourself to spin every morning at 5am. Yet you’re still swiping for dates on dating apps.
You attend every soccer practice. You cook. You clean. You take care of all your kids, and sometimes it feels like that includes your partner. You get resentful because you miss feeling close to your partner rather than being a parent to him, too.
Some days, you think to yourself “I’m freakin’ Super Woman! I can do all the things.” Other days, you think to yourself “It would actually be nice to get some help around here. Why do I have to plan all the dates? I am exhausted. I just want him to plan something for me.”
the bottom line
WHAT ABOUT SELF CARE?
Self-care? You haven’t heard that name in years. You have yet to master the gentle art of flow going and putting yourself first. You have been so busy being a human doing that you are missing time to be a human being.
I believe that being confident and assertive in our womanhood first requires us to unlearn who other people expect us to be or who we have told ourselves we have to be. For some, it’s masculine and being constantly on the go, working too much, and secretly deriving self-worth from producing. Imbalanced masculine energy as a woman can leave you feeling burnt-out and unsexy. For others, it’s feminine and being nurturing, gentle + and go with the flow. Imbalanced feminine energy can leave you feeling vulnerable.
CAN BE TERRIFYING
Especially if you’ve been hurt by friends or romantic partners in the past. Maybe your feminine side was wounded along the way. Your masculine side came to protect her and did such a good job, she went into hiding.
FOR HER TO COME BACK
Together, you and I will co-create a balance of masculine and feminine energy within you so powerful food will taste different, you’ll see new colors and people will ask you for your autograph. Just kidding. That would be wild, though. We’ll create a balance that gets you back to feeling safe in your feminine and empowered in your masculine.
